Landry's Senior Portrait Session - Hanford Portrait Photographer

My younger brother Landry and I make a great team. He enjoys having his picture taken and he's so photogenic... how could I not enjoy photographing him? Just stay out of the room when he and I try to edit down the photos we captured to the final choices. :-P

We went all out for his Senior portrait session. Seems like there are always great places to take portraits in downtown Hanford. Some of the shots from Landry's CD cover shoot earlier this year were also taken there.

To read more about Landry and hear some of his new music check out his Facebook music artist page

Enjoy...

This was taken across the street from Landry's first CD shoot in downtown Hanford. We've both learned a lot since that shoot. :)

This was my first crack at indoor portrait lighting

This shot we "borrowed" from his CD photo shoot since we both love it but it didn't work for the CD artwork.

The sun went down, but we weren't done yet. Edward Cullen better watch his back. ha ha

Why not get a head start and schedule your senior portraits now?
Now is also a great time to schedule Christmas family sessions before it's too late!

Chloe Watts - Senior Portaits - Hanford Portrait Photographer

I met Chloe when we were both selected to tour with the WAY choir (Western All-state Youth Choir). I remember my first thought of Chloe was "Does she EVER talk?". That was three years ago. Now I know that she not only talks but is quite funny and very sweet. It was a lot of fun taking Chloe's senior pics and laughing about old choir memories. Best of luck to Chloe! Here are some of the shots we got:

Chloe workin it by the carriage at the beautiful Irwin Street Inn.

The grandparents insisted on a letterman jacket shot. It turned out great.

Chloe meets "Prego" the cat. She came and wanted some lovin'
It's not every day a pregnant stray cat tries to steal the shot. :-P

The Lopez Girls

For my birthday earlier this year my friends Carissa Lopez and Bethany Lopez came to visit, so we decided to have an impromptu photoshoot just for fun.

Even though these girls have the same last name, they are actually not related... in fact their last name is probably the only thing similar about these two.

So that was my challenge... a photoshoot for two completely different girls... at the same time. It was a blast! :-D

Take a look...

Angela - Senior Session

How could nearly everything Angela and I planned for this shoot go completely wrong... yet we STILL managed to get great shots!

First location planned: Orchard in full bloom... beautiful white and pink flowers just days before! Completely dead once we arrived.

Second location planned: Field of yellow flowers (albiet behind an old walmart building)... also completely dead upon our arrival.

SO we had to improvise... turns out the orchard was great even without the flowers, and how could it not be great with Angela's awesome smile....

I love the lighting in this picture!

and this last shot - taken in the walmart parking lot... but that'll be our little secret. ;-)

Happy Birthday Weston and Julyssa!

Yes yesterday was my birthday, but earlier this week I learned that I share a birthday with Julyssa.  The fabulous Julyssa is a cheerleader for Hanford West High School I had the opportunity to shoot her senior pictures.  Here are some of the results...  Thanks Julyssa and Happy Birthday!

Senior Portaits - Jonathan Hernandez

A couple weeks back I got the opportunity to shoot some Senior Portriats for Jonathan. I didn't realize it, but I had already photographed Jonathan's sister's tennis team. It was cool to see that picture on the coffee table when I went over to show proofs. We went out to the courthouse square in Hanford... one of my favorite spots to shoot.  This was my first official outing with my new Canon speedlite 580Ex II so I'm still learning how to manage working with off-camera flash.  Here are some of the shots we got.

Sunday School Bus Ministry Launch Brochure

Here is a brochure I designed for my church's Bus Ministry launch on Feb. 14.  This was a lot of fun to do and I think that shows through in the design. I've always wanted to do something like this and this was the perfect opportunity. I also took all the pics on this brochure except for the one that I'm in. :) Let me know what you think!
